Superman Kadecka wins another game with grand slam
Very similar game to the first one of these sides here at the European Championship as the Danes went in front and lost their lead later on Kadecka’s home run. That one came against another local guy Kim Hansen pitching his first player after substituing Terkelsen.

The Czech started way better than the last game against the Danes and took an early lead. Svoboda singled through the middle and Kolkus ran home from second base. Then Benda tripled with a high hit pulling home Svoboda.
Reaction of Denmark was immediate. Silleman as a first player at bat in second inning and fifth in Danish lineup hit a home run across left field and Valdemar Terkelsen’s RBI single tied it up.
For more the Danes didn’t let any players on base in bottom and scored again in third inning. Julenon’s home run meant two points lead for Denmark since there was already Frederik Terkelsen on base after he was hit by pitch. The Czechs changed pitchers, Mach went out and local player Mueller in. He started with two strikeouts and added three more in top of the fourth inning.
V. Terkelsen seemed a little tired and his father and coach in one person prepared a substitution of Kim Hansen for the sixth inning, but when Mertl scored on a passed ball he didn’t wait anymore. Hansen went on the board when there was Kadecka with two out and bases loaded.
The fans were cheering for Karel to send the ball behind outfield where is a river and he listened well. He smashed the ball up high and if there wouldn’t be Belgian flag behind the fence, who know how far the ball would go. Anyway grand slam home run in the finest situation as it turned the scoreline around completely.
On top of all that, Nezbeda singled to center field with 2 RBIs and the Czechs were up by five runs. This lead was final and sent the Czech Republic into the final game.
Post-game comments
Jens Terkelsen (Denmark): Unfortunately, it was almost the same game as the first one. We started well again, but then our opponent hit a terrific home run and immediately everything went wrong. We struggled at bat, that is the main thing we have to improve for tomorrow. I hope we can make it and we´ll have a rematch.
Tomas Kusy (Czech Republic): It was an awesome game. We handled the situation well again while we were losing. We believed we can win this and we did it. Great.
